musicOkay first of all, totally out of my expectation...I've got my exam results for this semester and guess what, my 2nd sem GPA is 3.82!!!!!!
3.82...can you believe this?
And the strangest thing of all, is that this semster I've been pretty relaxed about my studies. Last semester I was 10 times more anxious about my results and I worked my ass off in last semester. But for this semester, I even had the nerve to go watch Soler's bar show before the Psychology exam, and what now? I've got 3.82!!!
Alright, so that confirms my hypothesis: I can be a smart (well at least a booksmart one) playgirl....hahaha
Yea so last night I went to this Moto903 concert and it's AWESOME!!
Well the whole thing was entirely a stroke of luck since this was a 903 show and I dun have a Manhanttan id card. But then I've got the fanclub e-mail some time ago and it told me that I've got one ticket of the show!! And what's more was Carrie's got the ticket as well, and it turned out Emmy's got one and Shirley's got one at the end. So we four got the privilege to be at the show last night.
Oh what can I say about it? It was totally utterly entirely amazing! From the opening of Qiu Hong to the end when Soler, Jun and Paul performed together, it was just perfect!! Though I wish the last session when the four of them reunited on stage can be a little longer, they've just performed one song...what a pity
Anyway I just love the venue so much since it's smaller and the lighting was ace, not to mention I was pretty happy with the seats coz we're in the yellow zone. The powerful performance of Qiu Hong in the beginning was absolutely a nice warm-up! What can I say? They truly deserved the champion of the Battle of Bands. My heart just throbbed along with their strong beat.
And then there we go Jun! He's ace! I just love "In my dreams" so much and I was so moved by Jun, he's truly a musician who stays true to himself. By the way the AudioTraffic guys were real cool as well, powerful vocal and guitar.
Okay so after Jun's wonderful performance, there came my beloved Soler. Well all I can say is, Julio Acconci has totally blown me away again. Goodness, he's perfect. From his looks (he's drop-dead sexy and gorgeous in his black vest) to his strong voice to his energy to his dynamic performance. He looked very refreshed and most importantly, he's so so so happy. Every time I see that big smile and dimples on his face, my heart melts. And I was so grateful to have a huge screen right in front of me so I could see his beautiful eyes and his lovely grin so clearly.
I was so so so moved coz the Soler I saw last night reminds me of the Soler I first fell in love with on 14 July 2005 at Edge. Yea, it's Julio and Dino, that two guys who always enjoy playing live on stage and are totally absorbed in their music. That dynamic performance, that passion when they performed, the energy Julio has when he sings, the absorbed look on Dino's face when he plays his guitar in Natural High, I saw it with my very own eyes all again last night! That's the Soler I truly wanna see, the Soler who's here for the music.
As usual, Peter and Ray were amazing!! They never let us down!
Well and I'm a little worried when JA said he went to the doctor a day ago. Take real good care of yourself Mr. Nervous Man.
And then we have Paul. Paul!!!!! I can say nothing except that he's a real God of Rock. The show reached a climax when he's on stage and everyone just got up, forgot about everything and threw themselves right into his music.
The last bit of the show was definitely a highlight, it's really rare to see these four good friends reunite on stage! These four guys truly have chemistry when they played together!
Wonderful wonderful wonderful show. And it's definitely by far the most memorable Rock show I've ever watched (well not that I've watched that many Rock shows)!
Oh and of course, there's 邪 stuff on the way, and they're beginning to turn into tailor-made big things....they won't let me and Carrie go, will they?
But I'm definitely loving them...Keep coming! Hahaha
