musicOkay so last night I went to this 903 Soler X Andy Hui concert...If moto903 was awesome, then Soler X Andy Hui was a hundred times more awesome!!!!!!
Well I dunno where should I begin, the thing is, I'm still on a Soler high now! It was such a wonderful wonderful night!
First of all, the venue was excellent. I should say HITEC is really the most suitable venue for concerts. The sound system is ace, the lighting is ace, the seating arrangement is ace as well! Didn't expect that me and Carrie could get such nice seats. We're sittting in the middle of the concert hall, so basically we could see the stage very clearly! What a nice surprise.
And then what can I say? It's a crossover! It's a real crossover! The show started with my two favourite boys and Andy Hui singing each other's songs together, it's nothing like moto903. For moto903, it was like 3 mini concerts of Jun, Soler and Paul alone. But last night's show was a real crossover with Soler and Andy Hui "jamming" after some solo. And I was amazed by the chemistry between Soler and Andy Hui.When I heard about the concert of Soler corssing over with Andy Hui, I was like "Ha?" coz the two seemed so incompatible. But then last night the chemistry was much much more magical than that of Jun, Soler and Paul. Soler's voice mix really well with Andy Hui's and the three of them played real hard on stage!
I was so touched. Truly truly truly touched. I remember I said the same thing in the moto903 entry, but then I can say this time, I was ten times more touched by Soler's performance. I haven't seen that two guys who gave 120% on stage and were totallly absorbed in their own music for so long. I mean, after the Intuition concert, all they have were all those mall shows and promotion thingy with mmo and time for only one song. And they looked so tired in all those shows, even at HKLive back in Feb, JA looked so pale and exhausted. But last night, I saw that Julio Acconci I have fallen in love with at the Edge a year ago.
The JA who's totally absorbed on stage, the JA who interacts with the audiences, the JA who sings with passion as if you can see a burning flame in his eyes, the JA who smiles from his heart because he loves music and because he enjoys performing on stage, the JA who will jump off stage in the midst of Natural High, the JA who stays so focused that he looks like a saint when Dino's playing the intro of 緊箍咒, the JA who is so serene when he plays the piano and solos for 羅馬冬假, the JA who makes people laugh by using Chinese phrases wrongly.
I almost bursted into tears when he sang 羅馬冬假, because I saw JA, I saw Julio Acconci. The man whom I love with all my heart.
And that bond between JA and Dino. That magical brotherhood. Just one look into each other's eyes, it's like a thousand words have been said between them. It was what makes Soler unique. JA and Dino are like fire and water, yet they mix with each other so well. It's like Dino calms JA down a little while JA heats Dino up. That compatibility, that connection, that bond, lights up the stage and shines through the heart of everyone who loves their music.
Dino was really cute last night too! Just love it when he jumped on stage and then smiled like a cherub.But when he has his guitar in his hands, the mature and sometimes wild Dino takes over. He's most charming when he and the guitar become one.
They've sung a lot a lot a lot of songs and finally I've got the chance to jump with JA during Blue!!! I went crazy, literally crazy last night throughout the whole show. I enjoyed myself by moving along the beat and I clapped and tapped and danced and waved like I've gone mad...hahaha It was real fun and people were very reponsive too.
And Andy Hui! I've never seen such an energetic wild rock n' roll Andy Hui before. He gave his best I'd say. I enjoyed his solo very much too!
I love the show soooo much and I'm still on a Soler high today throughout the whole day's work...haha
And I know I've said it a thousand times, but
I love you, Julio Acconci.
It's been a year now. On 14.7.05 at the press conference at Edge, a spell was cast on me by the JA in black on stage and on 14.7.06, I'm still enchanted.
Oh yea, and the 邪 stuff are back to me and Carrie...welcome back, yaaay!
