Good Things list, a little habit of mine when I was in high school. Can't remember when and why did I stop writing up the good things list to remind myself of how beautiful life can be, perhaps I've been overwhelmed by all the negativity and pessimism in the past.
Since life's been reaaaaally good lately, I should write them all down, my life's beautiful, yea, it truly is.
Good Things List:
1) A slow pace of life. Got so much time to spend lately since I'm currently having my summer break and I'm waiting for calls from all those internship I've applied. And I dun feel like I'm idling my time away, in fact, I feel kind of productive. It's like I spend every minute enjoying life, the feeling of not having to rush through things is so good.
2) Soho. I love Soho. I love everything about Soho, whenever I'm in the place, I feel amazingly relaxed and happy, it's just so...me. Though I'm almost broke, I'm having this restaurant tour with Kei and Whitty every day after the Spanish class. Have been to The Flying Pan few days ago, and it's marvellous! Love the tone-on-tone blue interior design there, very homely and tranquilizing. The lunch hour's pretty busy and it's diffiuclt to get a table, and we've waited for like, 15 minutes to get the waitress to take the order, and we've waitied for another half an hour for the food to come. But then the food's really wonderful, beautifully arranged (the Egg Benedict, it's a piece of Art) and sooo delicious. And Portobello, a really cozy place for a whole night talk with friends over a drink. Spent a real relaxing night there with Carrie and Kei. Must spend another afternoon there. Gonna try out different restaurants at Soho in the coming week (though I'm a little concern about my financial situation), hurray!!
3) Earth to Heaven. Our little DIY accessories project!! Am really engaging myself into it and my business partners Carrie and Kei are really devoted too! I guess jewelry design's really in my element, whenever I start working on my sketches and the actual products, I never stop. And I love buying all those beautiful beads and materals!!!
4) Carrie. Okay, I guess we've said enough about how miraculous the whole friendship is, anyway, all I wanna say is, it's a gift from god to have met and known you, and I'm almost sure that we're actually twin sisters in our past lives haha. You know me the best.
5) Having lunch at Starbucks with Kei. Fortunate to have Starbucks in HKU. I love Starbucks. I love Cafe Latte. I love Coffee Frappuccino Light. I love Rhaspberry Frappuccino. I love the tarts and sandwiches. I love the 30% discount for HKU students. And fortunate to have Kei to be my company to spend a really "slow" and relaxing lunch there...hahaha and yea it feels really "Soho".
6) Job interviews. Though it's kind of nerve-racking to get prepared for the interviews, I discovered more about myself. I can actually talk. Haha I thought I'd be dumbfounded, but I can actually talk my way through them without any dead air. My water-blowing skill has reached a new high, hahaa thanks to the Social Sciences tutorials. Oh and I think I did pretty well in the Social Welfare Department Internship interview. Hope I'm gonna get into the prog.
7) Cosmo Girl. It's not just about beauty, it's not just about fashion, it's about attitude towards life, it's about being happy with yourself. And you'll never ever find a slimming ad in the mag.
8) Central. Beautiful People. Professionalism.Vibrancy. Source of Inspiration (where we come up with the idea of the Earth to Heaven project!!)
9) Good music (esp. live music!), good books, good movies--my daily bread.
10) Hail to Pearl for the good TV dramas. Recent favourite, Human Trafficking, every episode left a heavy sadness in me. How could people actually engage in such "business", and why would there be customers? Humans, while I still believe most of us are good-natured, some of us can be demons, living the life of sin which even devil itself will be sick of.
11) Reality Shows. I know sometimes they can be repetitive, but then I'm addicted to them. Currently feeding my addiction with Project Runway.
12) Summer Sale. Me encanta ir de compras!
13) Being a 摩登紅娘, hahahaaha...I should really help myself first before helping people...well well well
14) Golden Gateway. Me and Carrie almost got the whole theatre to ourselves for Da Vinci Code, but then it's a Saturday afternoon, and it's a theatre situated in Tsim Sha Tsui!! Gotta watch A Date with Drew there.
15) My nervous man. He's kind of...weird and hilarious. But I still love him.
16) Openrice.com. Haha I just love searching for restaurants and look at the reviews there.
More good things coming up!!!! Yaaaaay!!!
