Exhausted.
But I'm still on a rock'n'roll high right now! I've got this content smile on my face all the way from Macau back to Hong Kong...The show's awesome!!!!!!!
Didn't stay for the whole marathon of course, haha dun think I've got the energy to withstand the whole 8 hours, but me and Carrie caught the night session, well of course it's because Soler's in it.
Actually ran into them in the afternoon before the show started. Wanted to take a look at the stage and the seats and there they were, checking out the stage and the equipment. Waved Hi to Rukhsana and off we went to Solmar for a nice lunch.
And then we got back there at about 6pm and were able to catch Qiu Hong's performance. Goodness they're still powerful!! A really really good warm-up for the the rest of the line-up. I got into the mood for moving along with the beats right away.
After Qiu Hong there's this really amazing band from Japan, Buddhistson. They sound really mellow and gentle, a huge contrast to Qiu Hong and it felt really romantic somehow with the drizzling and the breeze.
Okay so after Buddhistson, there we go our beloved twins!!
And when they started playing, I was stunned! I was really stunned! I recognized the intro of 海嘯, but the arrangement's totally different from any of the shows they've played in the past! It felt brand new! And then the songs that followed were all arranged in a new way, especially Intuition, never like this song much but then the new arrangement made the song come off really really strong!! Though the rain suddenly became heavier in the midst of the show, I was too excited to care about my soaked self and kept on moving and dancing.
And then here comes the touching moment. They have a new song. A new song! I've been waiting for that for soooo long!! It's called Ocean of Lies. It's very very very powerful (though it came off a little like Muse to me), the feeling's like the first time when I heard 失魂....and I was like, oh Soler's finally back!! It's that dynamic melody, those strong beats, that powerful vocals!! And it's in English! I always love their English songs coz they express themselves so much better in English.
Know that they're actually going through some kind of transition in their career, something to do with their company I guess. And I know the circumstances are uncertain and they're like in the middle of nowhere somehow, but then this new song proves that no matter what situation they're in, they're still making music. Yea, they're here for the music. I see that passion, that faith, that fire again. Though when JA said all those thank-yous, they sounded like good-byes, as long as they're doing something they love, I'll be at their side and be happy with any decision they're gonna make.
And well...I love that little finger-pointing game. Haha.
