Went to the open days of UST and City U yesterday with Alin, Fanny and Julia.
Got a lot of leaflets, even those of the programmes I'm not interested in. But anyway, it doesn't hurt to take a look at them, who knows what's gonna happen after A-level?
Actually I'm quite interested in BBA offered at UST. But the talk totally ruined my impression on UST. I know UST's one of the leading universities in HK, but it's futile to boast about how good you are by pointing your finger at other univerisities, especially when your reasons are totally unfound. Every univerisity has its own strengths and shortcomings, and facts prove everything. Yea, your students are great, but you can't overlook the strengths of students from other univerisities and critisize them, just for the sake of attracting the A-level candidates to put UST BBA in Band A. It's really unfair to generalize your own impression on all the students on that particular univeristy.
The enrichment programmes and curriculum of UST BBA is really attractive. But somehow the culture and atmosphere there do count and the speaker of the talk show no sincerity and eagerness in welcoming students to join the faculty. I'll need some more time to think it over. Am still frustrated about whether to put Social Work or BBA in the third place of Band A. Maybe I'll make up my mind in late October when all open days end.
Anyway, it's so nice to spend a day with you all, Alin, Fanny and Julia. Remember our Attraction-level grading...haha Am really really looking forward to having breakfast with you all before the Swimming Gala and also the School Picnic day :) Love you all.
