Growing up is not the absence of dreaming
Oral exam = fluke!
This is one of the most memoriable moments of Christy's entire life:
Mrs.Su-something (okay I dunno how to spell her surname), one of the examiners of my Oral exam today, said, "For Christy, your performance's good. Good grammar. Good eye contact." (I remember she said three "Good" but I can't recall the last one. I was just overjoyed)
Oh my goodness. It's a fluke.
For 17 years and 2 months of my life, I have never been praised for my performance in Oral exams. It's such a stroke of luck.
Some discoveries and good things of today:
1) Confidence does work. I was in the last group of the Oral exam today and I literally just sat there and waited with my hands shaking. And then I kept saying "You can do it" to myself, trying to visualize a confident Christy in Oral exam. It worked! I felt better and my hands just stop shaking for a moment (well but they started shaking again when it's my turn to speak)
2) I love Mr.Mortensen. When I was waiting for my exam, I imagined Mr.Mortensen patting my shoulder and said, "you're gonna be fine, Chris" And I suddenly felt a surge of relief. Sounds like I'm the ultimate paranoia on earth but it worked...whatever
3) 開口中 again. It was raining cats and dogs in the morning when I was riding on the bus, then I thought the rain must stop when I got off the bus coz I dun have an umbrella. And it really stopped.
4) Ms. Christy Tsui is an amiable lady. She replied my e-mail about the SSSP within a day.
5) Am very indecisive about having a new haircut. Planned to go to the salon this Sat or Sun, but still can't decide if I should make my hair shorter or keep the present length.
6) The UE listening paper today is actually the 2004 AL exam paper. I love the recording. The characters of the recording mentioned something about LOTR and even joked about the UE exam.
Okay I'll make good use of my gift of 開口中: everybody who's having exam (well of course including me :P )will do fine!
And Alin, your B-day will be a wonderful one. Dun worry!
A big "Good Luck" to Angie!!
