Oh My God. Oh My God.
I'm back from Soler's Press Conference in Central. And the only language that I speak now is SOLER!!!!!!
Thank you so much Angie for being my "partner in crime", without you I think I wouldn't be able to make it to the venue at all, coz you know I'm so clueless about places in the Hong Kong Island :) Please be my "partner in crime" too next week at Soler's live show.
Okay so let me report the Conference in deeeeetails, with some photos I've taken....and I've taken 97 photos of Soler today....keehee
The Venue was The Edge in Central, which is kind of a Pub in Soho. It's so remote it took us about half an hour to reach there, I really couldn't describe how excited I was when I saw the place!!!
We were kind of stuck outside of The Edge coz it's guard by the staff there and it looked like as if it's having a private party, lucky we met two other fans. We peeped outside and a lady who looked like a PR curiously asked what we were doing there and she's sooo kind to let us in!! In fact the conference was open to all.
Then we met Jessica, the leader of the fans gang. We've got one small banner:
Really nicely made and we turned the banner to the back and discovered:
Soler has signed!! How kind they are!!
I was soooo excited coz we were given seats that were really really truly close to the stage. The distance was like, Soler's singing RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!!! I really felt that Soler's fans were respected coz we were put to the front seats while the reporters could only stand behind us when it's supposed to be a PRESS conference.
They have Soler's songs brodcasted while Soler's getting ready in the rest room. The songs are real nice and catchy.
Finally the conference began!! With the other two band members Peter and Scot appeared in an interesting way:
They pretened that it's raining!! Actually both Pete and Scot are real cute guys :)
And suddenly everybody got excited and shouted, "Soler!!!"
I quickly held my camera up!! And we went crazy and kept yelling. But when they started singing, we all listened and moved with the beat!
Julio and Dino are so good at bringing up the atmosphere, everyone's so captured by their excellent live performance!! And oh, they are singing RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!!
And then they sang their English song "Natural High" and to match with the song, Dino took his jacket off....but I was so busy taking photo of Julio and I missed the moment when Dino took off the white jacket:
Julio looking at his bro taking his jacket off...and Julio's so funny that he said, "I have no more to take off..."
Dino showing his muscular arms
Julio didn't make the Indian pose, but here we go the familiar open arms pose again
I really love the song "Natural High", and here's my favourite photo when they're singing this song:
Oh look at Julio's arm...the muscles!!
And then the climax of the conference, they went down to the audience!!! Julio's on the left so he couldn't quite make it to my seats....but Dino....he passed right in front of me and as a result, I've got this:
And when he went back to the stage, I accidentally touched his arm.....oh oh oh oh oh oh oh
After four songs, they sat down with MC Mini to talk about their CD which's gonna be released on Friday, the CD is dedicated to one of their friends who had helped them a lot but had passed away...a touching moment.
They've talked about how they were turned down by numerous music companies, really moved by their passion towards music, they said they'll never give up on making good music. And I could see how grateful they are to the people who have helped them to come to this far.
And Julio's responsible for the design of the whole CD!!! He spent number of nights to work on it, oh how sweet he is!
The conference ended with Soler's friends like Paul Wong and Sam Hui's son toasting to their debut album...couldn't quite catch Paul Wong's face coz he's hiding behind people:
Moment of triumph!
I really think that Soler will be successful, their live performance was sooooooo great and enjoyable, their music is truly original and influential. People said music is an universal language that connect people of different races, and I think today I have truly experienced what this means. Soler sings in Cantonese, English and Mandarin, as a matter of fact, not everyone in the conference understands all three languages but everyone did have a good time and tapped and moved along with their music.
And I truly believe, they will make it. They will make it to the top, coz they care so much about their fans and they really respect each and everyone of us, just before they leave for the interviews, they didn't forget us the fans:
Julio came by and ready to raise his thumb at us, to cheer at our good job :)
Dino also came by to say goodbye, he's so kind to shake some of the fans' hands too.
What an amazing conference. I really dun care if I've got photographed by the reporters. All I know now is
I LOVE SOLER!!!!
